SUSTAINABILITY & RESPONSIBILITY

We believe that just as intelligent digital pathology can change the medical industry, sustainability and responsibility can change how we all work and live

At Telenostic, We Adhere To The Following Sustainability And Responsibility Principles:

Animal Health & Welfare

Many of our team come from a veterinary science background. It goes without saying that we place great value on the health and wellbeing of all animals, and through our research and development at Telenostic we are working towards improving the health and welfare of both companion animals and livestock.

Agricultural Intensification

It’s no secret that agriculture around the world is growing and intensifying at a rapid rate, and with agricultural intensification comes the increased prevalence of parasitic infections among livestock.

We believe our parasite detection technologies are actively working to assist the longevity of the agricultural industry, by dramatically reducing the time it takes to identify and treat parasitic infections in animals. The result of this is a greatly reduced economic impact.

Ethical and Responsible use of anthelmintics

Anthelmintics are an essential part of the parasitology field. Used to treat parasitic infections in animals, there is no doubt veterinarians and farmers will continue to need and use anthelmintics far into the future. However, we believe we can minimise their unnecessary use simply by identifying parasitic infections in animals accurately and efficiently.

Rather than continue with the traditional method of regularly ‘de-worming’ our animals as a precautionary measure, we can save these invaluable medications for animals that really need them.

In this way, we avoid the unsustainable, ongoing use of anthelmintics when they are not needed, also reducing the likelihood of parasites developing further anthelmintic resistance.

We also believe this evidence-based approach to drug use is more ethical.

Reducing consumables & carbon footprint

In reducing our reliance on anthelmintics and other laboratory consumables, we also reduce our carbon footprint through a reduction in the consumption of energy, infrastructure, packaging, transportation, and labour.

Laboratory and manual parasitology processes consume a significant amount of time, energy, and resources to produce and effective test result output. Modern eco-unfriendly laboratories are large technical factories generating a significant carbon footprint. On average, a lab uses approximately four-five times more energy than an average workplace of the same size based on research conducted by Harvard University.

Our technology has a small footprint, uses enviro-friendly reagents, limited single-use consumables, possess lower energy consumption and reduce the need for unnecessary additional transportation.

The development of the Telenostic technologies has seriously considered the impact on the environment to support sustainability.

Digital systems and processes

As an innovative technology company, our systems and processes are heavily embedded in the digital world. As a result, we have little need for paper materials and make every effort to always reduce paper printing, the need for manual transcription, the transportation of samples and the use of extensive laboratory consumables

Our digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud and edge computing, and the internet of things (IoT) can support and accelerate positive changes to deal with climate change and help protect the environment.

Our technologies support the application of eco-friendly digital technology.

Geographical data for third-party monitoring

We are committed to sharing data in the field of science and medicine, to assist medical professionals around the world to improve diagnosis and treatment. We believe that the more knowledge medical professionals are equipped with, the faster and more effectively we can all treat medical conditions as they arrive, improving patient outcomes.

Thanks to our AI technology, the more users that engage our devices, the more information is created and then shared, leading to a resilient and highly knowledgeable industry with greater longevity. Evidence-based medicine leveraging Telenostic technology will provide scientific and medical professionals with real-time data to support informed and targeted treatment decisions.
